Frequently Asked Questions

  • What experience do you have?
With over 42 years in the industry, you can be rest assured that we know our game. We have  drilled over 5000 boreholes across all types of terrain in Zimbabwe. We have drilled in almost all suburbs and areas in all the 10 provinces of Zimbabwe, and as we drill, we take soil samples and assess the ground profiles, enabling us to provide accurate judgement to meet your requirements.
  • How can I pay?
Accepted payment methods for services rendered are cash or USD (nostro) bank transfers. We also accept local payment at an agreed rate of exchange.
  • How much deposit do I need to pay?
In order for any services to be accepted and scheduled onto our work order, we require full payment up front.
  • What guarantee do I have?
A 100% guarantee that a borehole will result in a usable amount of water is not physically possible from any expert. However, we do ensure a good faith policy where the realistic possibilities are explained to each client on their specific case and scenarios.
  • How deep will the borehole be?
The depth of the borehole will depend on various factors, including the geology of the area, target water source, and your specific water requirements. Our drilling experts will assess the site and recommend the appropriate depth during the initial evaluation.
  • How long does the drilling process take?
The duration of the drilling process can vary depending on several factors, such as the depth of the borehole, ground conditions, and any unforeseen challenges. On average, a borehole drilling project can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days to complete.
  • Do I need any permits or permissions for drilling a borehole?
Yes, drilling a borehole often requires obtaining permits and complying with local regulations. Our team will guide you through the necessary paperwork and assist in securing the required permits before commencing the drilling process. This process is mandatory.
  • What types of drilling methods do you use?
We use the rotary method. Borehole advancement is achieved by the rapid rotation of a drill bit which is mounted at the end of the drill pipe.
  • What maintenance is required for a borehole?
Boreholes generally require minimal maintenance. This is done by the pump installer as the pump is where most maintenance is required.
  • How much water can I expect from the borehole?
The water yield depends on several factors, including the geology of the area. During the site assessment, we will estimate the potential water yield and provide you with an the depth required to drill.
  • Can I use the borehole for both domestic and irrigation purposes?
Absolutely! Boreholes can be utilized for various purposes, including domestic water supply, irrigation, and other non-potable uses. This will obviously depend in the yield of the whole and your requirements.
  • What happens if the borehole doesn't yield enough water?
Our experienced team conducts thorough site assessments to minimize the likelihood of inadequate water supply. However, in the rare event that the borehole doesn't yield sufficient water, we can explore alternative solutions or discuss options for possibly increasing water availability,
  • What is the expected lifespan of a borehole?
With proper construction, a borehole can have a lifespan of several decades. The longevity of the borehole depends on factors such as the quality of construction, usage patterns.
  • Can I have multiple boreholes on my property?
Yes, it is possible to have multiple boreholes on your property, depending on the specific requirements and geological conditions. Our experts can assess your site and advise on the feasibility and optimal placement of multiple boreholes, if necessary.
  • Is borehole water safe for drinking?
Borehole water can be safe for drinking, provided it meets the necessary quality standards. As part of our services, we can conduct water quality tests to ensure the water is suitable for consumption. If needed, we can recommend appropriate water treatment systems.
  • Can I install a pump and storage system for the borehole water?
Yes, we can design and install a pump and storage system that suits your requirements. This allows you to efficiently extract and store the water from the borehole, ensuring a reliable water supply.
  • What warranties or guarantees do you provide?
We stand behind the quality of our workmanship and the materials used. We provide warranties on the borehole construction and can offer guarantees on the water yield, subject to the specific terms and conditions outlined in our contract.
